WHAT?
In 2016 a massive 7.9 magnitude earthquake hit Ecuador and caused extensive structural damage to several small coastal towns in addition to taking hundreds of lives. In the aftermath of the disaster, while participating in a community effort to send clean water to the affected areas this infographic was developed.
WHY?
A summary of the most significant details about the disaster were used with the objective of telling the story of the disaster and at the same time compel possible donors to help.
HOW?
The infographic was developed with the objective of providing relevant information about the earthquake to possible donors. Information design and research were very important in this project as it focused on readers with and without previous knowledge of Ecuador and its most current events.
